ⓐ 건축물중 6층이상의 연면적이 2천제곱미터이상인 건축물(층수가 6층인 건축물로서 각층 거실의 바닥면적 300제곱미터이내마다 1개소이상의 직통계단을 설치한 경우를 제외한다)에 근린공공시설, 노유자시설중 장애인시설 및 노인시설, 의료시설, 교육연구시설중 학교 및 도서관, 공공업무시설, 숙박시설, 판매시설, 관람 집회시설중 공연장 및 관람장, 전시시설, 방송통신시설중 방송국, 청소년수련시설이 있는 경우에는 장애인용 승강기, 장애인용 에스컬레이터, 휠체어리프트 또는 경사로를 1대 또는 1곳이상 설치하여야 한다.
ⓑ 층수가 2층이상인 교통시설에는 장애인등이 주출입구로부터 대합실 및 승강장이 있는 층까지 편리하게 이동할 수 있도록 장애인용 승강기, 장애인용 에스컬레이터, 휠체어리프트 또는 경사로를 1대 또는 1곳이상 설치하여야 한다. 장애인용 승강기는 내부의 크기, 버튼의 높이 등 설치 기준을 별도로 정하고 있으며(승강기 검사 기준 참조) 일반 승강기에 해당 부품을 추가로 설치 하여야 합니다.
