ⓐ If possible, build a concrete structure up to 1.8m above the ground or install a fence to prevent human access to the area where the hoistway meets the external ground.
ⓑ The glass of the hoistway must be used at least equivalent to the Korean Industrial Standards: net glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, and double-layer glass (16 mm or more).
ⓒ In observation elevators, the temperature inside the car can rise rapidly due to radiant heat, so an air conditioner may be installed inside the elevator, so it may be necessary to install a drain and ventilation device at the bottom of the hoistway.
